This was our biggest assignment so far as we were designing a new visual identity for a book and coffee shop selling rare collectible second-hand books that can be seen as luxury high-end products. This bookstore also sells its signature coffee brew on the side. The client asked for a new visual identity with a logo, typography, color scheme, and overall visual style, different mockups with their logo, vehicle branding, coffee packaging, and a unique gift-wrapping concept. 
Visual identity
To appeal to their target market and enhance their core values I decided to focus on a minimalistic, elegant, and bold design using their "B" as the main idea for the logo combined with earthy yet modern and sophisticated colors, a contemporary font choice, and a dash of originality.
With this in mind, it decided to create curiosity in the viewer with aspects such as a folded corner on the icon, a different packaging style for their coffee, and an overall interesting and different concept.

Vehicle and bicycle branding
For their vehicle and bicycle branding the client wanted the main focus to be the book store but they wanted the tagline "Rare Books & Coffee Brews" along with the physical address, their email on the vehicle, and the webpage on the bicycle. Here I focused on taking advantage of the strong brand style I already established.

Coffee packaging
Designing something original spikes the curiosity of the customers and leads them into a new world of coffee packaging Brodie's Book's style. This I obtained with a two-part coffee packaging where the customers unwrap the coffee book before reaching the coffee bag. In this way, even the coffee can be stacked as books.

Gift-wrapping concept
Who doesn't love gifts right? The unwrapping part of a gift is almost as exciting as the gift itself and it was this feeling I wanted to enhance in the customers along with a sense of high-end touch to it. Welcoming text on the side, their physical address, a luxurious touch of folded wrapper inside and their distinctive colors were a must for this gift-wrapping concept.
